 Gardens in Dorset

Dorset has a selection of gardens to visit during any season of the year, both privately owned, and those belonging to stately homes and historic castles.

Guests staying at Knoll House are welcome to visit the eight acres of gardens at Studland Bay House. The gardens slope gently towards the sea, and rabbits and deer roam freely. In May the azaleas and rhododendrons are in flower.

Other gardens recommended to visit are Abbotsbury sub tropical gardens, the gardens of Lulworth Castle, and Compton Acres, an award winning private garden in ten acres.
